" Plumbing codes require AAV's to carry the ANSI/ASSE 1051-96 (branch venting) seal approval.
While an official standard, ASSE 1050-91 (stack venting), once again, is not recognized by codes.
ASSE standards require that AAV"s must be able to open and close (holding over-pressure) a minimum of 500,000 times (estimated to be at the minimum, 30 years of use)."
